Joint IAEA-KAERI Consultants Meeting on Recommended Data for Atomic Processes of Tungsten Ions

Meeting Report

The Joint IAEA-KAERI Consultants Meeting on Recommended Data for Atomic Processes of Tungsten Ions, 14 – 16 September 2015, was held at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). The Scientific Secretary was Hyun-Kyung CHUNG.

Atomic data for tungsten is highly important for operating tokamaks with tungsten wall components. The purpose of the meeting is to evaluate effective rate coefficients for tungsten in plasma: relevant processes are ionization, recombination and radiative power loss. Participants compared available theoretical and experimental data for all tungsten ions and produced an evaluated data set.
